Merrowed edge

A thick overlock stitch wrapped over the edge. Clean, classic and hard wearing. For circles, ovals, squares and rectangles 2″ and up.

Heat-cut edge

Cut with a laser along the outline of your design. Use it for custom shapes, small patches and hat patches. It lays flat with a clean, sealed edge.

Other edges

Leather, PVC and chenille have their own edges.

Leather: Laser cut, or a stitched edge on patches 1.5″ and up.
PVC: Molded to the shape of your design.
Chenille: Cut to the shape of your design.

Backings

Every patch type comes with the backing you choose.

Iron-on: Heat-activated glue. Press with a heat press or household iron for 30 to 40 seconds.
Peel n’ Stick: Industrial-grade adhesive. The usual pick for cowboy hats and caps.
Velcro: Hook and loop, for patches you take on and off. It costs a little more, and the builder shows you the difference.
Sew-on: No glue. Sew it on for the most permanent hold.
